The Cinnamon Shea Butter Soap recipe provides a luxurious and nourishing soap that blends the warm, spicy scent of cinnamon with the moisturizing properties of shea butter. The distinctive smell and flavor of cinnamon derive from the essential oils contained in the bark, called cinnamaldehyde. Cinnamaldehyde displays anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties.
Cinnamon may help to relieve stress and is a stimulant. But be careful! Add too much cinnamon and you may suffer skin irritation. We would recommend using this soap as hand soap only unless you truly enjoy burning sensations.
