Rose petal powder has a cooling and soothing effect and is wonderful to add to many formulas Add the powder to body powders, creams, foot powders, milk baths, bath teas, soaps, bath salts, body wraps, hair wraps and facials.

Rose Petal Powder is an all-natural powder derived from the petals of roses that you will love! The powder produces colors from burgundy to brown, depending on the amount used and your recipe, and adds a plethora of properties to your soap, including gentle exfoliation.

Rose petal powder in face mask

Rose petal powder is also an essential ingredient in many face masks, face packs, hair packs, hair oils and perfumes due to its cooling properties and soothing scent. For centuries, rose has been used in perfumes and as a cooling agent for the eyes and body.

Adding Rose Petal Powder to Melt & Pour Soap

Add Rose Petal Powder to your melted Melt & Pour soap base in a dosage of one to three teaspoons per 500 grams of soap.

Use a Suspension Soap Base to see the powder floating in the soap . Or add the powder when the soap is between 50°C and 55°C, so that the powder is evenly distributed in the soap.

Adding Rose Petal Powder to Cold Process Soap

There are a few different ways to use Rose Petal Powder in cold process soap. We recommend using 1 to 3 teaspoons per 500 grams of soap.

Method 1: Add Rose Petal powder to your traced soap. This gives a rustic look with added exfoliating properties.

Method 2: Carefully add Rose petal powder to your water/lye mixture. This allows the powder to be better absorbed for a smoother appearance, but still with exfoliating properties.

Method 3: Soak the Rose Petal Powder in boiling water, strain the mixture with a coffee filter to remove the powder, let the water cool, and then use this water in your cold process soap recipe. This method adds some of the properties of the powder, including the color, but without the exfoliation.

We recommend testing small amounts so you can perfect your recipe.   You may decide that you prefer a little more powder for more exfoliation or a little less powder for less exfoliation.

Cools and soothes the body

Rose petal powder has many medicinal properties, one of which is its ability to cool and soothe the entire body.

Supports the nervous system

Rose powder is also known to be great for the nervous system because its balancing qualities help the brain register, store and remember information.

Anti-aging benefits of rose petal powder

Rose has antioxidants that prevent the formation of wrinkles. Regular use of rose petal powder for cleansing, toning and exfoliating tightens the skin and slows down aging.

Nourishes, cleanses, tones and moisturises the skin

Rose petal powder is perfect food for your skin. It cleanses dirt and pollutants deposited in the skin without drying it out and gives you a clear complexion.

Lightens stains

For centuries, women have used rose petal powder for everything from natural hair growth to brightening dark spots and blemishes. Since it was discovered that the plant contains a lot of vitamin C, which stimulates the production of collagen – making your skin cells stronger, women from all over the world buy organic rose powder in bulk, for making home remedies

Checks oil

Any idea what’s wrong with your skin toner? You may be surprised to know that many facial toners on the market contain alcohol. Do you know what this alcohol does to your skin? It dehydrates your skin, making it extremely dry.

The good thing about using rose petal powder is that it is a natural astringent while keeping your skin soft. If you want to reduce pores and have smooth skin, try replacing your regular toner with rose petal powder paste or rose water.

Exfoliant

Most exfoliating products have a coarse texture, but rose petal powder forms a smooth paste while retaining its soft texture. It helps you get rid of excess dead cells, sebum, dirt and grime that tend to deposit in your facial pores.

Refresh cleaning and polishing

Not only does it get the job done without being abrasive, it smells incredible

Anti-inflammatory

Most skin problems are related to inflammation when the body heats up and this has a direct effect on your skin. As I mentioned earlier, dandruff has a cooling property which makes it an anti-inflammatory.

Anti-acne

If you have swollen, red, itchy skin mainly from acne, you can apply an anti-acne rose petal powder mask for relieving your skin.

Relieves sunburned skin

Being rich in vitamin C, powdered rose petals can be used to soothe sunburned skin. Vitamin C protects your skin from UV rays and prevents the growth of free radicals that damage skin cells.

Heals wounds faster

A medical study proves that Rosa Indica, a variety of rose found in India, is antibacterial. If you have a wound or burn that you want to heal quickly, put a little powdered paste of rose petals on it.

Strengthens hair follicles

If you have dry hair, regular use of powdered rose petals can strengthen your hair follicles and promote hair growth. A rose petal powder and coconut milk hair mask can do wonders for dry and dull hair, leaving it shiny and luscious.
