DIY lavender candle melts are the perfect solution for what to do with this lovely lavender scent! This recipe is a super easy DIY project that highlights the versatility of this pleasantly fragrant lavender.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike candles, the wax of a candle melt does not evaporate, only the scent dissipates. This means you can keep using a candle melt over and over again until the scent disappears.<\/p>\n<h2>Supplies<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Digital kitchen scale<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/shop\/zeep-maken\/digitale-thermometer\/\">Candle thermometer<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Heart-shaped waxmelt mold<\/li>\n<li>Small saucepan<\/li>\n<li>250 grams of soy candle wax<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/shop\/zeep-maken\/cold-process-zeep\/etherische-olie\/etherische-olie-lavendel\/\">30 grams of lavender essential oil<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/shop\/zeep-maken\/cold-process-zeep\/bloemen-en-kruiden-2\/lavendel-bloemen\/\">10 grams of dried lavender buds<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Use a kitchen scale to measure out 250 grams of soy candle wax. Put the candle wax in a small saucepan to melt it safely.<\/li>\n<li>Gently heat the wax over medium to low heat. Stir often with a heat-resistant silicone whisk or spatula.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the after it is completely melted from the heat. Clamp a candle thermometer in the jug to check the wax as it cools to 70\u00b0 degrees to 67.2\u00b0 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>After cooling, add 30 grams of lavender essential oil and stir slowly but constantly. Do this for 1 to 2 minutes to allow the lavender essential oil to absorb well into the wax.<\/li>\n<li>After adding the essential oil, carefully pour the wax into each cavity of the heart-shaped silicone mold. Let it cool in the mold for a few minutes before sprinkling with the dried lavender buds.<\/li>\n<li>Allow these DIY lavender wax melts to harden for 24 hours.
