Put these juicy soaps on the edge of your sink for some extra cute flare.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"separator\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"separator\">595 g Clear Soap Base<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">85 g White Soap Base<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Liquid Glycerin<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Watermelon Fragrance Oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Silicone Loaf Mold<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Silicone Tray Mold<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Mysterious Green Colorant Mica<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Black Colorant<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Water-based dye red<\/li>\n<li class=\"separator\">Red Mica<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Prep the watermelon \u201cseeds\u201d by melting 57 grams of clear soap base and mixing in a black colorant. Pour the soap into one side of the glossy tray mold and let cool. Once the soap has cooled, release the soap from the mold and use a ruler and a craft knife to cut thin strips of black. You\u2019ll need five long slivers.<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonSeedPrep.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-160490 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonSeedPrep-e1676375234985-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Now it\u2019s time to make the \u201crind.\u201d Melt 200 gram of clear soap base and mix in 200 grams of liquid glycerin and 6-7 drops of liquid green colorant. Mix well and pour the soap into the tray mold. Spritz with rubbing alcohol to eliminate air bubbles. Let cool.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong><em>Hint:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The liquid glycerin adds some pliability to the soap so we can bend it without breaking it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> For the white layer of the rind, melt 85 g of white soap base and mix in .85 g of liquid glycerin. Let the white soap cool to 125-130 degrees, spritz the cooled green layer of soap and pour the white soap down the middle of your mold.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Tip:<\/em><\/strong> I wanted the white section of the rind to be super thin. 85 g of soap isn\u2019t quite enough to cover the entire bottom of the mold so make sure you pour the soap down the middle of the mold. Release the green and white soap from the mold, bend it down the middle and place it into the half-round log mold. Make sure that the white soap is even on both sides. Scoot the soap to one end of the mold and press it down firmly. Seal the other end with plastic wrap. You can wrap some of the plastic underneath the soap if needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong>\u00a0See how my mold is tipping a little bit? You\u2019ll need to find something to prop up the mold. I used two small matching bowls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonPrep.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-160478 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonPrep-e1676375530967-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonPrep-e1676375530967-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonPrep-e1676375530967-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonPrep-e1676375530967.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> To make the sweet, inside of the watermelon, melt 340 g of clear soap base and mix in 142 g of watermelon fragrance oil. For the fantastic pink color, I combined shavings of the Perfect Red Color Block with red mica. Mix well and let the soap cool to about 130 degrees and have some plastic wrap on hand to cover the soap to keep it warm between pours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonSeed1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-160484 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youwish.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WatermelonSeed1-e1676375744977-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong>\u00a0Spritz 1 long black sliver of soap and the white soap layer in the mold. Then pour about 1\/3 of the pink soap. Place the long black strip of soap into the wet soap. Spritz with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any air bubbles. Then cover the remaining pink soap with plastic wrap to keep it warm. Let this layer cool for about three minutes and repeat this step two more times.
