Animal testing & regulatory compliance statement

At YouWish, we are committed to ethical and sustainable business practices. Among other things, this means that we do not allow any form of animal testing at any stage of our production or supply chain. As a supplier of cosmetic raw materials, soap bases, fragrance and essential oils to cosmetic manufacturers, we are actively committed to complying with applicable laws and regulations within the European Union.
In accordance with this commitment and with reference to relevant EU legislation, we hereby declare the following:
1. No animal testing on finished products
We expressly confirm that none of the finished products supplied by YouWish have been tested on animals, either by us or by third parties on our behalf, since November 9, 2004, in accordance with EU Directive 2003/15/EC, which introduced the first ban on animal testing for cosmetic finished products within the EU.
2. No animal testing on cosmetic ingredients
In addition, we declare that none of the ingredients used in our cosmetic products have been tested on animals by YouWish, its suppliers or external laboratories since March 11, 2009, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, Article 18. This regulation prohibits animal testing of cosmetic ingredients and also prohibits the marketing of products that have been tested on animals.
3. Compliance with Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.
All our cosmetic raw materials and ingredients comply with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 on cosmetic products, which sets requirements for the safety, composition and labeling of cosmetics within the European Union. We closely monitor regulatory changes to ensure that our products and processes are always compliant.
4. Continuous verification within the supply chain.
We actively work with our suppliers to ensure compliance with these standards throughout the supply chain. We require all of our suppliers not to conduct animal testing during ingredient development, production or quality control.
This statement applies to all current products offered by YouWish and will be updated in the event of changes in regulations or our purchasing policies.
