Matcha is a very rich source of antioxidants, which means it’s great for fighting inflammation. If you have red, irritated skin such as acne, eczema or rashes, matcha powder can help soothe them.
Use matcha powder in cold process soap
Slowly add the lye water to the oil in a large bowl. Mix the mixture with a mixer until it is a light trail. At this point, you can add your matcha powder. Mix well until the matcha is fully blended, make sure your mixture is not too thick. Add the essential oils and mix again.
Use Matcha powder in melting and pouring soap
Chop the soap into the amount of blocks you need for the recipe. Using a glass measuring cup/mixing bowl, put the soap base in the microwave.
Put in the microwave for 45 seconds, then use a rubber spatula or scraper to turn the melted part over well. Then put it back in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir again. It should be pretty smooth after the second flip.
Make sure all the lumps are out and then add your Matcha powder. Shake it into the soap base little by little and mix it in well. If there are lumps in the Matcha powder, you may need to push against the side of the bowl a bit to smooth it out.
Once the Matcha powder is well mixed, add the almond oil and mix, and finally the essential oil. Mix them well and then you’re ready to pour.
Matcha powder in a face mask
Simply mix a teaspoon of matcha powder with a few drops of water until it has a slightly spreadable texture. To apply the mask, spread it over your face using gentle circular movements. Leave on for 15 minutes and then remove with a wet, warm washcloth. … Matcha makes an excellent scrub!
