How Does BE 60 Work?

In candle making, wax, dyes and fragrances are mixed in a molten state. During cooling, crystals form. Without a structuring aid, fragrance and color collect in the spaces between the crystals, which can lead to oil leakage and uneven burning.

BE 60 ensures the formation of a homogeneous crystal network. This gives wax oils, colors and fragrances an even distribution. The result: less oil leakage, better hot and cold throw, and constant burning throughout the life of the candle.

Application & Dosage

• Dosage: Start at 0.2% of total wash weight. Increase to 0.5% if necessary.
• When to add: In fully melted wax (above melting point), before color and odor.
• Mixing: stir well for 2-3 minutes for complete distribution.
• Fragrance: Add fragrance at usual blow-in temperature after BE 60 is fully dissolved.
• Curing: Follow standard curing time. Check wick if burning behavior changes.

Performance Tips

• Test in parallel at 0.2%, 0.35% and 0.5% to determine the ideal dosage for your wax and fragrance.
• If the flame is too bright, choose a size smaller wick and repeat the first three burn tests.
• Note hot throw, cold throw, melt pool diameter and consumption per hour for each variant.
