Hibiscus Bath Bomb Recipe

This do-it-yourself Bath Bomb immediately starts fizzing as soon as it hits the water, releasing a pleasant scent and filling your bath with color.

Ingredients

  • 100 gr Baking soda
  • 50 gr Citric acid
  • 25 gr Cornmeal
  • 25 gr Epsom salt (optional)
  • 1 gr Passionata Mica
  • 2 tablespoons of oil – such as sunflower, coconut or olive oil.
  • ¼ teaspoon of essential oil, such as orange, lavender or chamomile.
  • 25 gr Hibiscus flowers
  • ½ tablespoon polysorbate 80 – this keeps the dye from sticking to the tub

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix Epsom salts, baking soda, cornmeal, mica and citric acid.
  • In a container, mix the carrier oil, essential oil or perfume, polysorbate 80 (optional).
  • Pour the oil into your dry mixture and mix well.
  • After mixing, it will become slightly moist. Allow the mixture to dry for 10 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold and add some flowers.
  • Press the mold together to get the desired shape of the effervescent ball.

In addition to their relaxing effect, bubble balls can also be beneficial for your skin. The baking soda and Epsom salt in the bombs can help exfoliate and soften the skin, while the essential oils can provide a moisture boost. This can help soothe dry, itchy skin and make you feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

These hibiscus flowers are hand-picked. Hibiscus flowers are high in vitamin C and antioxidants to naturally color your bath water. Epsom salt is good for circulation and reducing edema caused by exhaustion.
