Additional Variant for Existing PIF
If your product has color or fragrance variations, you can choose this option. This product is part of the cosmetic review bundle and can only be purchased if we have already created your main PIF and CPSR.
What’s in this extra variety?
This variation is part of your existing assessment by YouWish. It consists of the following:
- Cosmetic product information file (PIF).
- Part A: Cosmetic Product Safety Information – Contains data on product ingredients, stability, microbiological quality, impurities and packaging.
- Part B: Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) – Contains the safety reviewer’s conclusions, warnings and justifications that ensure the product is safe under normal use.
- Laboratory tests and results
We offer several additional options for you to choose from:
CPNP notification
EU CPNP notification refers to the process of notifying cosmetic products to the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP), a centralized online notification system used within the European Union (EU). Created under the EU Cosmetics Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009), the CPNP serves as a tool for the exchange of information on cosmetic products between regulatory authorities and those responsible for placing them on the market.
Stability tests
Both acceleratedstability and compatibility tests and thermalshock stability and compatibility tests are used to evaluate how a product resists environmental stress and simulates long-term aging under controlled, elevated conditions to predict shelf life. Both methods also evaluate compatibility between product and packaging to ensure no leakage, degradation or interaction occurs.
The accelerated stability test takes 95 to 105 days.
The thermal shock stability test lasts 50 to 60 days.
| eature | Accelerated stability tests | Stability testing by thermal shock |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Simulate long-term aging and stability | Simulate long-term aging and stability |
| Temperature profile | Constant elevated temperature (e.g., 4°C- 25°C-45°C) | Alternating extremes (-15°C ± 2°C; +20°C ± 2°C; +45°C ± 2°C) |
| Duration | 95 to 105 days | 50 to 60 days |
| Simulation of | Time and aging | Time and aging, transport or rapid climate exposure |
| Typical observations | Appearance, odor, color, pH, density, viscosity | Appearance, odor, color, pH, density, viscosity |
| Compatibility Test | Evaluates product-packaging interaction | Evaluates product-packaging interaction |
Product Specification Test
The physicochemical parameters of a product, such as pH, viscosity, density and color, play an important role in the safety assessment of a product.
To obtain a detailed product specification report to conduct a safety assessment, several physicochemical laboratory tests are required. These tests provide information on the properties of the product and are used to assess the stability, safety and suitability of the product.
