Container candles Sunflower and Olive wax – NatureWax® C-3S

Nature candle wax C-3S from Cargill is a patented blend of hydrogenated vegetable glycerides (“vegetable waxes”) based on sunflower and olive oil. Nature sunflower candle wax C3S contains no ingredients of animal or mineral/petroleum origin and is free of materials derived from genetically modified (GM) plant sources.

This is a ready-to-use wax mix developed primarily for making scented candles in containers.

How to use Sunflower and Olive Wax – NatureWax® C-3S

• Melting: The wax can be melted at about 70°C to incorporate dyes, fragrances and other waxes. Higher temperatures are allowed, but prolonged heating above 90°C is not recommended and may cause discoloration.
• Pouring out: The ideal pouring temperature depends on the size of the candle, the ambient temperature and the other ingredients used; as an indication, pour at 50-55°C for a 200 g / 8 cm candle, when the container and the environment are at 20°C.
• Curing: The candle should cool and harden for at least 12 hours before burning, preferably in a temperature-controlled environment
