Natural Mineral Springs Fragrance Oil: This smells great in handmade beard oil and shaving cream. Enjoy the blend of bergamot, grapefruit, jasmine, rosemary, coconut, and oakmoss.
Although this scent worked well when making cold-pressed soap, the scent faded during curing, so we don’t recommend it for CP.
What is a natural fragrance oil?
To make a natural fragrance oil, one of these substances is isolated from the plant. These single aromatic chemicals are called isolates. They are ISO 9235, which means they are classified as natural by the International Organization for Standarization.
Then that isolate is mixed with others from a variety of plants. Linalyl acetate from lavender, which smells floral and citrusy, can be mixed with ethyl acetate from orange, which smells sweet and fruity. These can also be mixed with essential oils.
This process has several advantages. Because natural fragrance oils are composed of multiple components from different plants, they smell more complex and can be more interesting than a single essential oil. They are also more consistent because they are not as affected by batch variations.
If you plan to sell your products, you can put “natural perfume” or “natural fragrance oil” on the label. Find more information about natural fragrance oils here.
