Pink Barbie Inspired Soap

Chop 65 gr YouWish Transparent Casting Soap into small, even pieces. Put them in a small heatproof container. Melt in the microwave with bursts of 10-15 seconds. Add about ½ teaspoon Pink Eco-Glitter and stir until the glitter is fully incorporated.

Place the Mini Heart Silicone Column Shape in a tall container so that it stays upright. Pour the pink soap into the mold and let it cool completely – this takes about 20-30 minutes. Remove from the mold and set aside. If necessary, clean the embed with a sharp knife or clean-up tool.

Chop 295 gr YouWish Transparent Casting Soap into small, even pieces. Put this in a small heatproof container. Melt in the microwave with bursts of 10-15 seconds. To make mixing easier, mix ½ teaspoon of Neon Pink Pigment Powder and ½ teaspoon of Pink Eco-Glitter in 1 tablespoon of alcohol. Add ¾ of the color mixture and 5 ml (half the bottle) of Pink Sol fragrance oil to the melted soap base. Stir until the color and fragrance oil are fully incorporated.

Place the large heart silicone column mold in a tall container so that it stays upright. Take the Mini Heart embed you set aside, trim the ends if necessary to get nice straight edges. Drizzle with alcohol and place it slightly off center or at the desired spot in the mold. While holding the mini heart embed, pour the melted neon pink soap into the mold. Keep holding the embed until you feel that the embedded mini heart no longer moves in the large heart mold. We held the mini heart longer than the big heart to hold it in the desired place.

Let it cool completely – this takes about an hour. Unmold and cut off the excess from the mini heart embed. Little tip: You can use the excess to make little mini heart soaps for decoration. Your big heart embed is now ready. If necessary, clean with a sharp knife or cleaning pliers. At this step, take the 10 cm silicone mold and make sure the big heart embed fits nicely, if it is too big, cut away the edges – be careful not to cut too much 😉 When the big heart embed is ready, set it aside.

Chop 295 gr YouWish White Casting Soap into small, even pieces. Put this in a small heatproof container. Melt in the microwave with bursts of 10-15 seconds. Add the remaining ¼ of the color mixture (from step 3) to the melted soap base and the remaining (5 ml) of the fragrance oil. Stir until the color and fragrance oil are fully incorporated.

Pour a small amount of the melted soap into the 10-cm silicone mold. It should be less than 1 cm high. Drizzle with 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove air bubbles. Set aside and let harden and cool for about 20-30 minutes. It should be hard enough to embed the big heart.

Gently reheat the soap in the microwave with bursts of 10-15 seconds, if necessary. Place the large heart in the layer of soap that is in the 10 cm silicone mold and spray alcohol on it – this makes a better connection between the different pieces of soap. Pour the rest of the melted soap into the mold to slightly above half the heart embed – you can choose to make it higher, but don’t cover the embed completely with soap. Drizzle again with alcohol to remove air bubbles and allow to cool.

Let the soap cool for at least 3-4 hours, up to overnight. Remove from the mold and cut into pieces. Enjoy!
