Description: The Tea Tree is a shrub or small tree up to 7 meters high with a papery bark and lance-shaped leaves. In spring the small white flower spikes bloom, followed by woody seed pods. Tea tree originates from Australia and is not found elsewhere.
Extraction: Tea tree oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and young twigs.
Applications: Aromatherapy applications, medicine and veterinary medicine.
