Ectoin is an amino acid derivative known for its protective and stabilizing effects on cells that is naturally produced by a halophilic bacterium (H. elongata). This is a unique molecule responsible for survival in extreme stress conditions (UV, heat, dryness) and it makes it such a valuable ingredient for skin care formulas because of its benefits such as UV and blue light protection, cell renewal and hydration.

Ingredients Ectoin cream recipe

  • 80 ml of aloe vera gel
  • 3 ml Polysorbate-80
  • 7 ml Isopropyl myristate
  • 7 m l Olive oil
  • 2 ml of oat extract
  • 1 g Ectoin

Instructions Ectoin cream recipe

Take all but the ectoin and blend thoroughly with a hand blender.
You will see that it becomes milky while homogenizing.
After 2 minutes of homogenization, add the ectoin and mix slowly with a spatula.
Finally, you can put the formula in a cream jar.
Store it in a cool environment at room temperature.
